There will be days when you feel alone.  Days when you feel confused. Days when you want to cry. Days when you are restless. Days when you feel defeated. And days when you feel heartbroken. Despite this, just remember, you are NEVER alone.  God is in every beat of your heart. Trust in His plan and just pray. When troubles have you down, pray. When you feel lost, pray. When you feel heartbroken, pray. When you feel alone, pray! He will always listen. But if you pray when it storms, remember to pray when the sun shines, too.

P.S. Happy Easter! Hope everyone had a great day! Here is my prayer from Easter dinner! God Bless!

“Dear Heavenly Father,

We gather here today to celebrate your resurrection. You are alive and living within each and every one of us. Although Dillon is not physically here with us, we all know he is with us in prayer. He is making us all of proud by being in the Army and we all love and miss him so much. Watch over him as he pursues his purpose in life and we will all keep him in our prayers. I pray that we may find courage in times of fear, strength in moments of weakness, and hope in days of wonder.

It’s in Your Name we pray,

Amen.”

Do not, and I repeat, do not forget about your family when you move away to school! Take 30 seconds, grab your phone out of your pocket, and shoot them a reassuring text or “Snapchat” photo (personal favorite)! This simple task will brighten your loved ones day, every day. But if you are like me and find out that your sibling is enlisting into the Army, take the time to let him/her know how much you love him/her! A simple card or self-made poem will suffice, just as long as you make it personal!

Big Brother

“Before you begin your new chapter in life, I would like to say a few (hundred) words…”

A new journey is before you
And with that comes uncertainty
Just remember, I am two-steps behind you
Preparing for any adversity.

19 years have passed
With memories that will never fade
Wow, the time really has gone by fast
Can we rewind a decade?

I can’t thank you enough
For always being there for me
Through the good times and the tough
You are the Best Big Brother a Brother could be.

We’ve laughed, we’ve cried
We’ve even had karaoke sessions in your car
But most of all, we’ve tried
To stay so close, after being so far.

The Bond we’ve made
Is unlike any other
The Bond we’ve made is irreplaceable
And I am so PROUD to call you my Brother!

Love,
Little Brother
